It's hard to believe that Fortnite is almost one year old already. Looking to celebrate the hit game's first birthday, Epic has revealed a limited in-game celebration event. Next week, Epic will introduce special birthday challenges and quests for its two game modes: Battle Royale and Save the World.

In the mega-popular Battle Royale mode, three birthday challenges will be available:
  • Deal 1,000 damage to opponents to unlock the Fortnite Birthday! Emoticon
  • Dance at different birthday cakes (10) to unlock the Happy Birthday! Spray
  • Play 14 matches to unlock 5,000 XP.
  • Complete all 3 challenges to earn the Birthday Cake Back Bling

Meanwhile, in Save the World, there will be a special Fortnite Birthday questline that will reward you with the Birthday Brigade Ramirez Hero as well as special Birthday Llamas which can contain Heroes and weapons from every event this year.

Fortnite's birthday celebration starts July 24 and will run until August 7.
