FORTNITE Does Its Best RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2 Impression With New Wild West LTM

Fortnite's v6.30 content update is now live, introducing the new Wild West Limited Time Mode to the popular battle royale game. The new mode is seemingly Fortnite paying homage to Rockstar Games' blockbuster title Red Dead Redemption 2, which launched last month.

Wild West LTM doesn't really introduce any new frontier setting or change the general premise of battle royale, but instead only features weapons "from frontier times." That means only the most basic weapons and items, such as Hunting Rifles, Shotguns, and Dynamite, are available. Items include the campfire, bandages, medical kits, and slurp juice.

Speaking of Dynamite, this is a new item introduced with today's update. Found from floor loot, chests, Vending Machines, Supply Llamas, and Supply Drops in stacks of three, this uncommon explosive does 70 damage to players and 800 damage to structures. The explosion is in the shape of a flat cylinder 1600 units in diameter and 384 units in height. Initiating the throw lights a five-second fuse that can't be canceled, so be sure to get rid of it or risk blowing your hand off. The Dynamite's range is shorter than a standard grenade.

Today's update also introduces the Scavenger Pop-Up Cup Duos tournament event. Here are the details:

• Scavenger game mode adjustments:
  • Material cap reduced from 500 to 300.
  • Drop count of Clingers and Grenades increased from 3 to 5.
• Safe zone changes
  • Reduced the radius of Circle 3 from 20000 to 15000
  • Reduced the radius of Circle 4 from 10000 to 7500
  • Circle 4 is now the first circle partially outside of the previous safe zone (was circle 5)
  • Increased chances of supply drops in later circles
  • Circle 9 now travels twice as far but takes twice as long to close

Fortnite v6.30 content update and the Wild West Limited Time Mode is now live.
