Fortnite update v6.31 has gone live, introducing a brand new Limited Time Mode, additional rarities for the Pump Shotgun, and a ton of gameplay balance and bug fixes.
The new Team Rumble LTM features two teams of 20 players who fight to be the first to reach 100 eliminations. Players who are eliminated respawn five seconds after death and keep the weapons and items in their inventory. Eliminated players will also spawn a random type of ammo, as well as a random stack of either 120 wood, 90 stone, or 60 metal materials.
Today's update also adds two new variants for the Pump Shotgun. The Epic (105 max damage) and Legendary (110 max damage) have been added to the game and can be found in all the usual places.
Epic also slightly buffed pump shotguns, which are already quite strong. The most notable change is that shotguns will apply at least three pellets worth of damage, even if only one or two pellets actually hit the target. Bonus pellets, however, can never be critical hits. Pump shotgun maximum damage has also been increased from 80/85 to 95/100. While shotguns will do higher damage in shorter range buckets, the damage will fall off quickly meaning less damage to targets that are farther away.
Other battle royale gameplay, weapon, and item changes found in today's update can be seen below. For what's new in Save the World, check out Epic's website.
