Barely 2 weeks after Guided Missiles were introduced to Fortnite, we've now learned that they've been shelved for the time being. This turn of events came about as a result of complaints Epic Games received from fans.

Apparently, a lot of gamers were unhappy with perceived advantages gained by those who were proficient with the weapon. Issues of fairness came about because of the sheer destructive power it had on the building mechanics.

Epic Games issued the following statement on the matter via Reddit:

We’ve gotten a lot of feedback around the Guided Missile, in particular concerns over fairness and strength of the weapon. We share your concerns, so we’ve put the Guided Missile into the vault while we figure out the next steps for its future.

Are you glad that Guided Missiles have been vaulted? Let us know in the comments section!
