Carnage, one of Marvel's most beloved super villains -- an adversary of Spider-Man and an archenemy of Venom -- is joining Fortnite's battle pass. Chapter 2 Season 8 of the popular battle royale game went live today with Epic revealing the latest set of cosmetics players can work to unlock.

Kletus Cassady's alien symbiote alternate Carnage, of course, is the highlight. By purchasing the battle pass and completing in-game quests and objectives, players can work to unlock Carnage and all of the associated cosmetics, such as the matching back bling, pickaxe, glider, and control. There are also themed sprays and an awesome-looking loading screen.

Carnage is on Page 10 of the battle pass, which means you'll have to work quite a bit to unlock it. You'll need to either reach Level 90 or claim 90 other rewards within the battle pass.

Fortnite's latest Marvel addition comes just weeks before the theatrical release of Sony's Venom: Let There Be Carnage. The upcoming blockbuster sequel will see Tom Hardy's Venom face off against Wood Harrel's formidable alternate symbiote, Carnage. The character's arrival also marks the latest in a number of Marvel-based collaborations that have seen fan-favorite characters like Wolverine, Groot, Thor, and Iron Man join the battle royale game.

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8 picks up shortly after the events of Operation Sky Fire, which saw players help bring down the alien mothership, only to release hundreds of cubes toward the ground. These sentient cubes have caused a new wave of terror across the island, opening up portals to a monster-filled reality called "The Sideways." It honestly gives off more Stranger Things vibes than anything, but Fortnite clearly had a marketing opportunity with Sony's upcoming Marvel movie.
