The success of Fortnite threatens to also expand to traditional games. The popular game Monopoly will have a special edition dedicated to the Epic Games title. The board game has appeared by surprise in the Zavvi store - although it has been taken down already - with a price of 26.99 pounds, about 30 euros, and scheduled for November 26th.
As expected, it will be played by game characters and scenarios from the Fortnite universe. Apparently the goal is the same as in the battle royale title, to be the last one standing. Another change regarding the classic game seems to be the exchange of money for health points, and that the board makes references to Fortnite Island.
Instead of making moves with the die, each player will decide in his turn whether to move or take action -recover health, shoot other players, protect himself behind a wall, etc.-. It also seems that there will be a mechanic related to the lethal storm.
Neither Epic nor Hasbro have made official comments so far.
