We're in the final days of 2018, and as usual this is the perfect opportunity to look back at the many successes to occur in 2018 - although to call a company like Epic Games a success may be an understatement.
According to one of the sources for Tech Crunch, Epic Games, the company behind the incredibly popular video game Fortnite, has lived up to their namesake and grossed a staggering $3 billion profit.
While Epic Games hasn't officially commented on this very impressive figure, it's likely not a huge surprise to most. After all, Fortnite, which played a huge part in propelling them to the $3 billion mark, has proven to be a huge hit on consoles and mobile devices. In fact, in November Fortnite had managed to reach over 200 million registered users.
Plus, with Fortnite's penchant for updating and adding new item or events, users are given a lot of incentive to spend purchase V-bucks - the in-game currency that allows players to purchase everything from skins to emotes.
