Ubisoft is finally ready to release the fourth major update fo
r Ghost Recon Wildlands, but there's a catch. Due to some last-minute technical issues, the New Assignment update has been delayed on PC, but the versions for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are available right now. The free update brings three new classes (Trapper, Stalker, and Guerrilla) for Ghost War, two new maps, and a map-voting tool.
These three classes are available immediately for Season Pass and Ghost War pass owners, and they will have seven days of exclusive access. The two new maps are coming to Extraction mode, Refiner and Cliffside, also adding a new map voting tool, allowing players to vote for one of three options before every Quickplay and Ranked PvP match. Check out Ubisoft's notes and a new trailer below:
True to its name, the Trapper class brings gas traps into battle which can be remotely placed. Once an enemy triggers a trap, they will take damage and be temporarily stunned. Furthermore, downed enemies are automatically marked by the Trapper, who can then use their sniper rifle to deny any revive attempts.
Next up is the Guerrilla, who packs an SMG for closer-quarters engagements and has a drone that can shoot smoke bombs. These projectiles can be launched strategically to hide ally movements and protect them from being marked. The smoke will also unmark any allies who were previously marked. And if you drop a smoke bomb on the enemy team, closing distance to put the Guerrilla's SMG to work should be much easier.
Finally, the Stalker is a long-range specialist with a sniper rifle that can't be heard by far-off enemies. Enemies marked by the Stalker won't know they are marked, and enemies that get close to the Stalker might meet a grisly end at the barrel of their secondary shotgun.
