EA held a presentation today where they announced that Star Wars Battlefront II will be getting an expansion based on Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
Clone Wars was an animated television series set between the events of Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith. The series aired on Cartoon Network for five seasons from 2008 to 2013, while an abridged sixth season was released through Netflix in 2014. While similar, it's not to be confused Tartakovsky's Star Wars: Clone Wars series which released in 2003.
While the majority of specific details are still under wraps; we know that it'll feature the Battle of Geonosis, Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi, as well as Count Dooku. There has also been confirmation of General Grievous' long-desired involvement.
The expansion is set to make its debut this year across the board, and will be free, like all previous DLC.
