STAR WARS BATTLEFRONT's "Death Star" DLC Is Free This Weekend As Players Enjoy Double XP Over Christmas

If you feel like heading to a Galaxy Far, Far Away this holiday weekend, then now is the perfect time to revisit Star Wars Battlefront to try out the Death Star DLC for free and score double XP points in the process.

EA an DICE have announced that the Star Wars Battlefront "Death Star" DLC is going to be free to play from December 23rd - 25th. That's a pretty cool Christmas present, and to sweeten the deal, you'll also be able to earn double XP while playing the game. That should make reaching Level 100 a lot easier after a recent update lifted the cap from Level 90 following the release of the Rogue One "Scarif" DLC.

While that's pretty good fun, it's no match for the Death Star content (arguably Star Wars Battlefront's best DLC to date). Oh, and as if you didn't have incentive enough to head online this weekend, the game will award you with 5000XP for simply logging in over the weekend. That's not too shabby, eh?

The Star Wars Battlefront sequel is set to be released next Fall, so it's good that EA and DICE are still finding incentives to get players to spend some time with the game, especially when there are so many new titles out this holiday season to tempt gamers. Will you be heading to the Death Star this weekend? As always, be sure to let us know your thoughts on that and more in the comments section.
