The fact that
Tom Clancy's The Division 2 is set in a summertime Washington DC might disappoint some fans of the first game and its take on NYC in winter. While the weather will be less demanding, the stakes are higher than ever, as the US capital city, the most heavily protected place on Earth, is on the brink of collapse. You and your team are the last hope to stop the fall of society after a virus outbreak.
In the first
Division, the player had a chance to fight in only one Dark Zone, a large walled-off quarantine zone in the middle of Manhattan. When it comes to the sequel, Ubisoft created smaller chunks of Dark Zone for a maximum of 12 players at any given time. The fact that
TD2 will feature three Dark Zones basically means that each of them will be smaller than the one found in the first entry.
In the last couple of days, we've learned a lot about the upcoming MMOTPS with strong RPG mechanics, and you can take a closer look at the game's three distinct Dark Zones down below. If you want to see how the game's gameplay works in practice, be sure to tune into Ubisoft's first
Special Report livestream on Tuesday, January 22nd to discuss the Dark Zones and PVP in
The Division 2.
