Tom Clancy's The Division 2 is almost here (launching March 15th), but the upcoming release will be just a small beginning of your grand post-apocalyptic journey in Washington DC. There's no denying that the French publisher knows well how to adopt the "game as a service" approach in their titles, and it looks like
The Division 2's post-launch support will satisfy even the most demanding players.
During the game's first year of free content, players will have a chance to download three Episodes:
The first Episode, "
D.C. Outskirts (Summer 2019): Expeditions will take you to the surrounding areas of Washington as you chase down elite members of the Outcasts and the Black Tusks and fight for the liberation of the city in new locations."
The second Episode, "
Pentagon (Fall 2019): The Last Castle will bring you to one of America's most iconic locations to unveil what secrets lie inside this well protected maze."
The third Episode "
(Winter 2019) will conclude Year 1 of The Division 2 and pave the way for more thrilling content."
That's obviously not all, as Ubisoft will introduce three all-new specializations during the game's first year of post-launch support. Each of them will reportedly bring a new signature weapon and skill tree to unlock and master as players take on brand new high-level challenges. Ubisoft is still planning to release
Tidal Basin, a new challenging stronghold held by the deadly Black Tusks, and
also
Operation Dark Hours, the first 8-player raid in the history of
The Division shortly after next month's release.
Ubisoft has shared a new trailer for the game showcasing the aforementioned features in action:
Washington D.C. is on the brink of collapse. Lawlessness and instability threaten our society, and rumors of a coup in the capitol are only amplifying the chaos. All active Division agents are desperately needed to save the city before it's too late. You are a member of the Division, an elite group of civilian agents charged with being the last line of defense. With DC at risk, it's time to gear up and use your unique skills to take on this new threat.
Tom Clancy's The Division 2 will be available March 15th, 2019 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
