Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris Introduces New Lair Mechanic For The Leviathan Raid

Destiny 2's upcoming expansion Curse of Osiris will introduce a new type of Raid experience called a "Raid Lair."

Bungie detailed the new gameplay activity during yesterday's livestream. The Raid Lair will be called Leviathan, Eater of Worlds, and will feature new locations, encounters, puzzles, loot, and a tough boss to battle — all aboard Calus' planet-eating ship. This time around, though, the action will be set in the mechanical Underbelly areas of the ship near the chest hunting locations.

Leviathan, Eater of Worlds is shorter, but "no less challenging" than the regular Leviathan Raid, and is designed for pre-formed Fireteams of six with 300 Power requirement. The Leviathan Raid Power requirement will also be boosted up to 300 from 270. Guardians will not have to complete the Leviathan Raid to access the Eater of Worlds Raid Lair.

The Leviathan, Eater of Worlds Raid Lair will open shortly after Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris releases on December 5.

Bungie also revealed that a second Raid Lair will be arriving with Expansion 2 in Spring of next year. This will also take place aboard Calus' Leviathan ship.

Are you disappointed Curse of Osiris won't introduce a completely new Raid location, or are you find revisiting Calus' ship?
