For the past couple of days, the Fortnite community has been fixated on the notion that a Captain America skin would soon be introduced. This was after evidence of such a thing was uncovered within the game's files. Well, that's exactly what has come to fruition.
Captain America is the latest Marvel Comics character to make the jump to the popular battle-royale game. This is quite a timely addition considering Independence Day is right around the corner.
This new skin seems to take cues from the character's Marvel Cinematic Universe counterpart but is by no means a one-for-one translation of that version. The new addition to the roster isn't an entire cosmetic set but rather simply a skin, meaning no glider nor respective pickaxe.
The official Captain America skin is now available from the in-game Item Shop on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Mac, and PC. It costs a total of 2,000 V-Bucks and, of course, includes Captain America's iconic shield.
