We're presumably just days away from the big reveal of EA Sports College Football 26. EA promised to lift the curtain on this year's big college football game sometime this month, and with just a few days remaining, we have to assume we are close.

With the reveal right on the cusp, sports commentator Rece Davis has shared a new video teasing his voice work in this year's game. Davis is journalist for ESPN and ABC, and also serves as host for College GameDay football road show.

He also provided voice work for EA Sports College Football 25 last year alongside other ESPN commentators such as Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit, Jesse Palmer, and Kevin Connors. Davis will return for EA Sports College Football 26, and shared a new video on social media of him recording lines for this year's game.

"We’ve covered every scenario imaginable. Added layers. More conversation on how your season is going. Everything is elevated," he said alongside a video of him recording various names and play scenarios.

Davis and the other commentators spend hundreds of hours over two years recording voice overs for EA Sports College Football 25, with Davis reportedly dedicated over 250 hours in the recording booth. While we don't know exactly how much time he spent on voice work this year, we have to assume it was more based on his comments above.

EA hasn't really revealed what's improved in this year's game, but Davis has now confirmed we can expect "added layers" to your college football scenario and "more conversations" regarding your season. That's great news for fans of the game's Dynasty mode as it likely means more detailed analysis that is tailored to your specific dynasty.

EA Sports College Football 26 was announced back in April ahead of the NFL Draft, but most of the information shared had to do with pre-order and launch details. We still don't know the specific gameplay details, such as what's been improved over last year's game.

We could find out as soon as this week. We had expected EA to share details last week as that aligned with the same timeline as last year's game. Unfortunately, we were met with radio silence so we're now eagerly looking forward to this Friday for more details. If the game isn't revealed this week, then we can probably expect details to be shared next week.

EA Sports College Football 26 will launch on Xbox and PlayStation on July 10th with a 3-day Early Acess period beginning July 7th for those who purchase the Deluxe Edition of the game, which is only available for the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. The game has not been announced for PC or the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.
