Just last month, EA officially revealed EA Sports College Football 26. The newest installment in what is now EA's annual college football series is set to release this July, with a first look coming sometime this month.
EA Sports College Football 26 was announced with a trailer, but it was more of a thematic trailer to go along with the NFL Draft. For more details and our first proper look at gameplay, we'll want to tune in to the official reveal this month.
EA promised a "full reveal" for EA Sports College Football 26 in May. We don't know exactly when the reveal will take place, but last year's EA Sports College Football 25 was officially unveiled on May 17, 2024, the third Friday of the month. Assuming EA follows a similar schedule, we can expect to see EA Sports College Football 26's reveal on or around Friday, May 16th. That's not confirmation, just speculation.
As for the contents of the reveal, expert top-level details and an overview of all the different game modes, including any new features. Last year's reveal, which was a bit more significant as it was a return for the franchise that had been absent for 10-plus years, provided information on CampusIQ, gameday atmospheres, game modes, and team builder.
The reveal trailer itself was more of a hype trailer, providing our first look at gameplay and all of the abovementioned features. Presumably, the reveal trailer for EA Sports College Football 26 will be similar. A full deep dive may come shortly afterward, perhaps in June.
As previously announced, EA Sports College Football 26 will launch on Xbox and PlayStation on July 10th. Once again, the series will not be coming to PC or the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. A 3-day Early Access period will begin on July 7th for those who purchase the Deluxe Edition of the game, which is only available for the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.
For passionate football fans, EA is once again bundling its two major sports titles. The MVP Bundle will feature the Deluxe Editions of both EA Sports College Football 26 and Madden NFL 26. This digital-only option is available for $149.99, representing a $50 savings over if you were to buy each game individually.
With a reveal coming this month and the game not launching until July, there's another opportunity for EA to showcase EA Sports College Football 26 over the summer. The annual Summer Game Fest will take place on June 6, 2025, and while there's no specific mention of EA yet, the Xbox Games Showcase could host some EA Sports presentations.
