Blizzard Entertainment is sending off the World of Warcraft: Forever beta with one last day of mayhem. The studio kicked off a 24-hour Beta Farewell Tour earlier today, and it is throwing world bosses like Azuregos and Lord Kazzak into the game's starting zones before the test servers go dark tomorrow.
Community Manager Kaivax announced the celebration on the official forums, explaining that the beta will end at 10:00 a.m. PDT tomorrow morning. Until then, Blizzard says players can expect "24 hours of shenanigans and upheaval" across seven zones.
Where The Beta Farewell Tour Is Happening
According to Blizzard, the celebration is running in Zephras Isle, Dun Morogh, Elwynn Forest, Teldrassil, Durotar, Tirisfal Glades, and Mulgore. That covers every starting area for both factions, so there is no need for testers to travel far to join in.
"Log into the WoW Forever Beta for one last time and head to one of those zones to experience the madness, and join us in saying goodbye to the Beta," Kaivax wrote.
Blizzard President Johanna Faries also shared the news on X, along with a poster for the event. The art bills it as the "Beta Farewell Tour" and promises appearances by Azuregos, Kazzak, and more.
The official World of Warcraft account followed up with a short message of its own, telling players to "Say goodbye to the Beta in style!"
Players Are Already Finding Super Hogger And Giant Elixirs
Blizzard hasn't published a full list of what is happening during the event, but players have been quick to share what they are seeing. The official World of Warcraft account reposted a few of those clips, including one from a content creator shouting about a "SUPER HOGGER" in the beta finale, and another showing a giant version of Stitches arriving in Goldshire.
Over on the official forums, testers have started asking about mysterious Endless Elixirs. Based on player reports, the effects include an Endless XP elixir with a 200 percent experience boost, an Endless Speed elixir with 50 percent movement speed, an Endless Mana elixir with 30 percent more mana, and a Giant Growth effect. Blizzard has not detailed these items itself, so the exact numbers could differ from what testers are seeing.
Stitches showing up in Goldshire is a fun nod for longtime players. The undead abomination is famous for lumbering out of Duskwood and into nearby areas, flattening low-level characters along the way. Seeing a giant version of him wander into Elwynn Forest with the starting zones packed is exactly the kind of chaos Blizzard seems to be going for.
None Of This Is Coming To Launch
Blizzard made sure to note that this is a one-time celebration. "Shenanigans and upheaval in this one-time-only celebration almost certainly include items and experiences that will not be a part of WoW Forever after it launches on November 4," the post reads. In other words, testers should enjoy the oversized bosses and Endless Elixirs while they last.
"We hope everyone has fun on this last day of the WoW Forever Beta. Thank you so much for testing the game with us!" Kaivax added.
A Busy Week Before Launch
The Farewell Tour caps off a hectic stretch for the beta. Blizzard ran a stress test that kicked off yesterday afternoon, and earlier beta weeks added more of the world, including Dalaran. The latest episode of the official WoW: Forever Podcast, which also went up today, is an end-of-beta special where the team breaks down what it learned and teases what is coming with the new raids.
The next big date for players is Early Name Reservation. Blizzard has also confirmed that the Roleplay-PvP ruleset will become available during Early Name Reservation next week, so roleplayers who want to claim a name on those realms will be able to do so before launch.
Once the beta ends tomorrow, the next time most players step into WoW Forever will be on launch day. With world bosses currently roaming starting zones, that will likely feel a lot calmer by comparison.
Are you jumping into the beta one last time to fight Azuregos and Kazzak, or saving your energy for launch day?
