EA could be gearing up to reveal this year's college football video game, if a new product page from Xbox is any indication. Xbox has launched a new page on it game store for EA Sports College Football 26, suggesting EA could be gearing up for some sort of reveal sooner than any of us expected.

EA officially announced EA Sports College Football 26 last month, but as we discussed yesterday, a reveal isn't really exected until May. The fact that Xbox already has a page on its digital storefront could suggest a reveal may be on the horizon.

It's a pretty barebones product page with no details, rating or anything of much substance. Even the logo just looks like an updated version of the current game, only now it has "26" instead of "25." It's not even clear this will be the official logo for EA Sports College Football 26.

Last month, EA celebrated the success of EA Sports College Football 25, which marked the long-awaited return of the beloved college football series.

"We said this place would be full again – thanks to our players, athletes, and fans for filling the house with us," the publisher wrote on social media, adding that EA Sports College Football 26 will drop this summer.

As we previously noted, EA Sports College Football 25 was officially unveiled on May 16, 2025, with EA sharing a reveal trailer that offered fans a first look at gameplay. EA also revealed launch details and cover art for the game, which featured Texas Longhorns quarterback Quinn Ewers, Colorado Buffaloes wide receiver/defensive back Travis Hunter, and Michigan Wolverines running back Donovan Edwards. A gameplay deep dive video was releaed later that month, followed by team rankings in June and and even lengthier gameplay trailer in July.

We just assumed EA would followed a similar release structure for EA Sports College Football 26, but this product page suggests a reveal could come even sooner than expected. However, it won't change the fact that we will have to wait until summer, likely July, for the new game to be released.

EA Sports College Football 25 has been an incredible success for EA. The return of the beloved franchise was met with enthusiasm from fans to the tune of 700,000-plus players in its first day of early access, and 2.2 million by the end. As of November 2024, it had become the best-selling sports game in the United States.

The game is said to have generated over $500 million for EA, two percent of which went to student athletes who provided their name, image, and likeness. The ability to pay players for the NIL was one of the major hurdles EA had to clear in order for the franchise to return. But it's not all roses for EA as we reported this week that a new company, Pathway Sports and Entertainment, is looking to sign college athletes from around the country in order to provide more bargaining power when discussing NIL payments for future video games, including EA Sports College Football 26

Last year, EA paid those who agreed to the NIL deal $600 and provided a free copy of the game. Pathway Sports and Entertaiment believes they could get athletes four times of what most received with last year's game.
