Gun Media, the developer behind
Friday the 13th: The Game added an offline mode with bots last December, and this week the studio showcases the upcoming single-player mode: Challenges. It gives the players a chance to play as Jason in a variety of familiar locations and asks them to kill the stereotypical teenagers in the most creative ways.
Oh, I forgot to add that the game is definitely aimed for the adult audience.
The short gameplay walkthrough showcases one of the challenges, where Jason kills two teens whose car needs a quick fix on a quiet road. Jason casually picks his first victim and impales him on a branch. The second boy is trying hard to replace a tyre and gets his mind blown. Literally.
The game still sits comfortably in the work-in-progress status and for now, Friday the 13th looks like a watered down Hitman, but let's hope that the developer will get their act together and deliver a mesmerizing, and not only brutal, experience.
