Dotemu and the developers Lizardcube and Guard Crush Games have announced Streets of Rage 4, a new installment of the classic beat'em up saga of video games. With the collaboration of SEGA, the iconic "me against the neighborhood" will return to the world of digital leisure. To celelebrate this announcement, a trailer and images have been distributed.
In this way, the return of one of the most iconic and well-known videogame licenses for fans is confirmed, venerated by many for street fights, their particular aesthetics, their soundtrack and their particular characters and enemies. Streets of Rage 4 features sequences drawn by hand by the team responsible for the artistic section of Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap and features the classic gameplay of the trilogy, adding new mechanics.
This fourth part will offer a new history and a series of levels of urban court with high doses of rivals and criminality. Its creators affirm that although the nostalgia factor is sought with the gameplay and control of the series, Guard Crush Games -who already had experience in the genre with Streets of Fury EX- and Dotemu have wanted to make at the same time a totally original videogame of arcade style. The game will also have a cooperative mode.
At the moment it has no date or launch window, nor have the platforms or consoles for which it will come out been confirmed.
