It Seems The Rewind Feature For MEGA MAN LEGACY COLLECTION Is Not Coming Just Yet

Fans of Capcom's Blue Bomber will have to keep waiting for the Rewind feature to be included in Mega Man Legacy Collection as Capcom says they still don't have any news to share.

Mega Man Legacy Collection is a compilation of all the first 6 classic Mega Man titles—that originally came out for the Nintendo Entertainment System—that was released in 2015 for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo 3DS, Xbox One, and Steam. The game then got a sequel in the form of Mega Man Legacy Collection 2—which featured Mega Man 7, Mega Man 8, Mega Man 9, and Mega Man 10.

Once the Nintendo Switch was released, Capcom announced that they would be releasing Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 & 2, which includes all the content featured in both previous Collections, as well as a new Rewind mode for the first 6 Mega Man titles. This rewind feature is exactly what it sounds like as it allows the player to press a button and rewind the game in order to avoid damage, death, or simply to make the game easier for newcomers.

The thing about the Rewind feature is that it is exclusive to the Nintendo Switch version and was never added to the other versions of the game as an update. Now Capcom has officially said that they have no news regarding the Rewind feature being added to the other versions but that they are working hard to give players an update as soon as they can.

While the Mega Man Legacy Collection titles are a great way to introduce players to the Mega Man series, the games have a lot of issues that are featured across all platforms. The most recurring one has to do with out-of-sync sound that occurs when players go to the console's main menu and then go back to the game. In the case of the Nintendo 3DS, this happened every time players closed the console, which is even present in the Nintendo Switch version of the game. These issues are only found in Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 but are definitely annoying enough for players to be vocal about it.

Hopefully the next update they say they're working on manages to fix all of these issues that have been around since 2015, especially those input lag issues that make the Mega Man games even more frustrating for newcomers.

Mega Man Legacy Collection is a celebration of the 8-bit history of Capcom's iconic Blue Bomber. Featuring faithful reproductions of the series' origins with the original six Mega Man games, the Legacy Collection will remind long-time fans and introduce newcomers to what made Mega Man such a popular and iconic character.

Mega Man Legacy Collection is available for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo 3DS, Xbox One, and Steam.
