KONAMI Planning On Releasing A Bunch Of Classic Collections This Year

As Konami celebrates their 50th anniversary, the company has decided to release a bunch of collections that include some of their all-time favorites amongst long-time fans.

Exactly one week ago, we found out that Konami's Castlevania Collection had been rated by the Australian Classification. Although we didn't get an official announcement from Konami, it still looked like the news was anything but confirmed.

Well, we can now put this whole thing to rest, as Castlevania Collection has now showed up on Konami's official website; and that's not the only classic collection they are planning on releasing, either.

According to Konami's website, the developer is offering the Anniversary Collection Arcade ClassicsCastlevania Anniversary Collection, and Contra Anniversary Collection; all of which will be available digitally for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Steam.

So far, Konami has only revealed details about Anniversary Collection Arcade Classics, which is scheduled to release on the 18th of April and  will be including Haunted Castle(the Arcade version of Castlevania), Typhoon(A-Jax), Nemesis(Gradius), Vulcan Venture(Gradius II), Life Force(Salamander), Thunder Cross, Scramble, and Twinbee.

The Anniversary Collection Arcade Classics will also be including a bonus eBook that contains some new information about the games such as interviews with the developers. behind the scenes insights, sketches, and never-before-seen designs.
