In KURSK, you control a spy who's trying to gain some classified information about the powerful Shkval supercavitating torpedoes. In the real world, the titular nuclear-powered cruise-missile submarine sank in the Barents Sea on April 20, 2000, killing all 118 sailors on board. The game will show the player what happened long before the tragic event, and the fact that the circumstances of that disaster have not yet been fully explained allows developer Jujubee to tell their version of the tragic story.

The Polish developer has announced that KURSK faces a small delay and now players will start their sea journey on November 7th, 2018. "After your comments and feedback on the gameplay trailer we released a couple of weeks ago we wanted to take some time in order to polish the elements which you’ve mentioned, hence the updated release date," a note on the KURSK Steam page reads.

Jujubee has prepared a special comparison video to show you how much the game has changed during those additional 3 years of development. The comparison is divided between two versions - one which was shown during Gamescom 2016 in Cologne, Germany, and the second one is the current version. The leap in KURSK's graphics is clearly visible, so be sure to check it out down below:

KURSK is the first ever adventure and documentary video game inspired by real events. You assume the role of a spy who finds way on the Russian nuclear submarine K-141 Kursk. Your task is to collect secret information about the revolutionary Shkval supercavitating torpedoes.

KURSK is coming to PC, Mac, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One November 7th, 2018.
