Lovecraftian Horror CONARIUM Is Officially Coming To PlayStation 4 And Xbox One This Year

Inspired by H.P. Lovecraft’s novella "At the Mountains of Madness", Zoetrope Interactive's horror Conarium was released on PC in 2017 with the promise of an imminent launch on consoles. As you probably guessed, the studio failed to reach that goal. In today's announcement, the development team and Iceberg Interactive revealed Conarium will be instead releasing in 2019 for PS4 and XO.

"We’ve been working hard to bring the game to both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One at the same quality as the PC release," the studios said in a press release. "Porting the game has been challenging in many ways. As a small indie studio, we had to get creative with our limited resources to implement and test HDR support, a feature beyond our original release and the one we’re [..] most excited about!"

Iceberg also confirmed that Conarium has been enhanced for PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X and players will have the option to choose between two modes: “Favour performance” and “Favour resolution.” Choosing performance will lock the game at 1080p, running at 60 FPS, while choosing resolution will boost the resolution on both consoles significantly, and lock the performance at 30 FPS.
