Metro Exodus developer Deep Silver is not afraid of competing with big triple A titles like Crackdown 3 and Far Cry: New Dawn. The same day Metro Exodus launches, these two other titles will hit shelves and the upcoming anime fighting game Jump Force as well. Talk about competition in the video game world. Even after all of these titles launch, the third-person shooter Anthem will be out one week later.

Beynon spoke with Gameindustry about competition in the field and how Metro Exodus is not afraid. "We're confident Metro has an audience that's been looking forward to this for a long time." The studio does not want to change the release date, something that has been done twice before.

The game was going to launch on late 2018 but was changed to the current release date of February 15, 2019. "We're very happy with where the game's at in terms of quality, so we want it to release."

Beynon spoke about the style these other games are taking and how they offer something different. "What we're offering with this game is a really content-packed, story-driven experience. For me, the natural audience for this game are people who have enjoyed things like Horizon: Zero Dawn, or something like a Witcher -- grown-up, mature, serious single-player, story-driven experience. There's been a real renaissance of those recently."

Metro Exodus is developed by 4A Games and published by Deep Silver. The title will hit the PS4, Xbox One and PC on February 15 and apparently, is not afraid of competition. The single-player game is directed by Andiry Prokhorov and produced by Jonathan Bloch.
