The MISSING: J.J. Macfield and the Island of Memories is the latest project by Arc System Works, who has partnered with Swery to develop this action-adventure title.
The game was announced a couple of weeks ago and we got a very intriguing trailer that didn't really tell us much other than what kind of game it was, in terms of gameplay. The MISSING: J.J. Macfield and the Island of Memories takes place in a place described as an Americana aesthetic and absurd perversion, the kind that only Swery can deliver. The game is also described as a story of agony and resurrection, which was made very clear when watching the trailer that seemed to focus a lot on the main character's deaths.
The story in the game begins when J.J. Macfield's friend suddenly disappears and our main character goes after her friend on the Island of Memories. What's interesting is that on this island, J.J. Macfield cannot actually die, as she's always brought back to life regardless of the severity of her injuries.

The MISSING: J.J. Macfield and the Island of Memories will feature a plethora of challenging puzzles along the journey. The game even details that gravity can be reversed by hitting an iron ball, and even use pieces of J.J. Macfield's disjointed body in order to solve these puzzles.
The MISSING: J.J. Macfield and the Island of Memories is an action-adventure game coming soon to PlayStation®4, Nintendo Switch™, Xbox One, and Steam.
