The
Ice Age animated film franchise began in 2002. It's most recently instalment released in theatres in 2016. Just when you may have thought that the franchise had come to a halt;
Bandai Namco and Outright Games have announced an upcoming video-game by the name of
Ice Age: Scrat's Nutty Adventure.
If you've seen any of the Ice Age animated film, you'll likely be able to recall the brief segments in which the film would switch focus from Manny, Sid, and Diego and instead focus on a squirrel's attempts to claim an acorn as his own. He can't speak so you're forgiven for not knowing this; that squirrel's name is Scrat and he'll be the focus of this upcoming video game.
Ice Age: Scrat's Nutty Adventure will be releasing in Fall 2019 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch platforms. Terry Malham, the CEO of Outright Games, had this to say about the upcoming video game:
“At Outright Games, we strive to continue making games that raise the bar for family-friendly entertainment, and we worked to capture the fan-favourite qualities of Scrat in ‘Ice Age: Scrat’s Nutty Adventure.' With slapstick acrobatics and thrilling in-game obstacles, this game will plunge fans into the ‘Ice Age’ world for a whirlwind adventure unlike any other.”
Ice Age: Scrat's Nutty Adventure is set to release on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC in Fall 2019.
