The Walking Dead is not the only project Starbreeze Studios-acquired OVERKILL is currently developing, as the Swedish studio just launched a brand new
Payday 2 DLC that features a heist sending us into the White House to steal presidential pardons for ourselves. The update is free for all players that bought
Payday 2 and gives you a chance to finally what's hidden in the White House's vault.
Depending on the player's actions, there are two separate endings that can be achieved, commonly referred as the "Bad" ending and the "True" ending, concluding this chapter of
Payday after months of story that ran through many crazy crimes and updates. Since its release, over thirty DLC packages have been released for the game including new heists, weapons and game mechanics.
Considering that Starbreeze has already confirmed that OVERKILL is developing
Payday 3, it seems that it will be the studio's next title after the upcoming launch of
The Walking Dead. As of 1 November 2014,
Payday: The Heist and
Payday 2 together have sold more than 9 million units, and even if
TWD fails miserably (which is pretty possible), this cooperative series definitely has a bright future.
PAYDAY 2 is an action-packed, four-player co-op shooter that once again lets gamers don the masks of the original PAYDAY crew - Dallas, Hoxton, Wolf and Chains - as they descend on Washington DC for an epic crime spree. The new CRIMENET network offers a huge range of dynamic contracts, and players are free to choose anything from small-time convenience store hits or kidnappings, to big league cyber-crime or emptying out major bank vaults for that epic PAYDAY. While in DC, why not participate in the local community, and run a few political errands?
Payday 2 is available for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch NOW!
