For Hello Games,
No Man's Sky has been quite the rollercoaster ride—being one of the most highly anticipated games since it was announced in 2014, all the way up to the day it came out, becoming a disaster that nobody could have foreseen.
No Man's Sky was released in 2016 to mediocre to negative reviews that focused on the game being lacklustre and somewhat repetitive after a while. In spite of that, Hello Games kept pushing forward and updating the game until they officially announced their biggest update yet in the form of
No Man's Sky Next, alongside an Xbox One release date.
Next is a free update for No Man's Sky and it pretty much adds everything that was promised the game would have on launch day. Online multiplayer, chracter customisation, space battles, and more were the things that were promised and No Man's Sky Next has finally delivered.
Hello Games co-founder and director for
No Man's Sky, Sean Murray, has shared on Twitter a screenshot of the Top games by current player count from Steam, showing that
No Man's Sky Next is currently among the most-played games this week. Murray also adds that the game is one of the most played on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, although he does not provide a pic for that but it is likely that he stil lhas access to those numbers.
With all the effort that has gone into
No Man's Sky Next, this is all well-deserved and hopefully Hello Games keep adding more stuff to the game. They definitely got off to a rocky start but have managed to pull through and that is something to commend.
Embark on an epic voyage to the center of a boundless universe. Entire galaxies lay waiting to be discovered. Be the first to land on beautiful, unknown planets teeming with life. Survive hazardous environments, where alien civilizations seek their fortune and outlaws take it by force.
No Man's Sky Next is currently available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
