No Words Are Needed In New Clip Explaining The Controls For THE QUIET MAN

The Quiet Man is one of Square Enix's most secretive projects in a while. The game was revealed during this year's E3 to some very mixed opinions as the trailer simply wasn't engaging. To make matters worse, the teaser focused heavily on live action cutscenes and some very rough in-game graphics.

The concept of the game, or the main idea rather, is that the main character is mute—and that's pretty much all we know about it, which is already somewhat disappointing. Granted, this was only a teaser trailer but Square Enix even opted out of doing a live presentation like in previous years and went with a video presentation in the same fashion of Nintendo's Directs—making us wonder why even show the game if there's nothing to actually show about it.

While some new information about the game has been shared online, there still isn't enough to actually get a good idea of what the game will be about. Today, Square Enix Japan has released a very short clip explaining the controls in The Quiet Man. The clip itself is just as secretive as the game has been since its reveal, but at least it does a decent job at explaining what the controls for the main character will be—by using absolutely no words.

A completely silent video tells us that Square will perform a regular punch, Triangle is used for kicking, Circle seems to be a heavy punch, Cross(X) is used for evation movements, R2 is a jog, R1 makes the character sprint, and L2 is very unclear but it seems to be some kind of awareness action, or maybe some sort of powering up.

Take a look:

THE QUIET MAN™ delivers an immersive story driven cinematic action experience seamlessly blending high-production live action, realistic CG and pulse-pounding action gameplay. Embark on an adrenaline-fueled motion picture like experience which can be completed in one sitting.

The Quiet Man has no release date yet but will be available digitally for the PlayStation 4 and Steam.
