A Plague Tale: Innocence is finally coming out on May 14th, so we will definitely learn a lot more about Asobo Studio's first original video game in a while (the French studio co-developed Fuel, The Crew, and ReCore) in the coming months. In Innocence, you will play as brave siblings Amicia and Hugo, witnessing their uneven struggle through the heart of the ruthless world of 14th century France.

Thanks to Gamersyde Official, we can take a closer look at the upcoming title's core gameplay mechanics in over 20 minutes of pure gameplay footage. To say that Innocence is strikingly beautiful would be an understatement, and the game not only looks great, but also plays well, according to first hands-on impressions, with some critics comparing A Plague Tale to Hellblade: Senua''s Sacrifice.

During their great escape, Amicia and Hugo will face the uncontrollable rats swarm (with up to 5,000 rats displayed at once!), and judging from the aforementioned footage, the game's engine doesn't seem to have any major problems with frame-rate, feeling like a steady 30FPS game.
