Atlus' Persona franchise has been around for quite some time. From the release of the original game to now, the change in tone and characters has been astounding. Once Persona 3 release on consoles, fans were able to see how much more stylized the world would be from now on, and nothing has been more stylized than Persona 5.
Not since the previous installment has a Persona title had so many spin-offs and multimedia adaptions; however, the runaway hit of the latest game has allowed for much room for growth. Most recently, Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers, is the most recent spin-offs that see players controlling their favorite characters in an arena-style beat em' up game.
Since its release in Japan, the spin-off has been just as much of a hit as the other titles, so much so that according to a fiscal report from KOEI Tecmo games, it appears that the game will be potentially making its way to North America sometime next year!
While nothing has been confirmed or denied, it is important to stay tuned and keep updated on what is to come. Make sure to share your thoughts on the news in the usual spot!
The game's story is set half a year after the original Persona 5 game's story, with the game's main characters going on summer vacation, but becoming involved in a new incident that spans the whole of Japan. The original game's main characters are playable.
Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers is aiming to release in North America on PS4 and Nintendo Switch on March 2021!
