CreativeForge Games' Phantom Doctrine is a new strategic turn-based espionage thriller set at the peak of the Cold War. Drawing on a wide variety of influences and capturing the subtle intrigue of classic spy films, the game thrust the player into a mysterious world of covert operations, conspiracy and growing fast paranoia featuring gameplay mechanics and systems you've seen in the X-COM series.
 
The latest game of the makers of Hard West will let you to lead The Cabal, a rogue intelligence cell fighting back against a global conspiracy amidst the 1980s Cold War tensions. According to the studio, Phantom Doctrine will let you to develop your base of operations, investigate cases, train agents, forge documents, research new tech, and even brainwash enemies for strategic advantage. 
 
Interestingly enough, Phantom Doctrine's soundtrack was created by the award-winning composer Marcin Przybyłowicz, of The Witcher 3: WIld Hunt fame, so you can be sure that the score will deliver the thrills. In the recent press release, the team says to expect a 40+ hour single-player experience that is reinforced by a new game plus campaign that features additional content. Take a look:

Phantom Doctrine will be released on both sides of the Iron Curtain precisely on August 14, 2018 for Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4.
