Ubisoft is slowly becoming the master of post-support. While some of their games are far from being fished at launch, the developers' care and strategic thinking allows some of them (
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege, Ghost Recon: Wildlands, The Division, For Honor, The Crew, Assassin's Creed: Origins, just to name a few) to reach their full potential after years of constant updates and expansions.
It looks like Ubisoft will apply the same strategy in
Starlink: Battle for Altas' case, as the Ubisoft Toronto-developed video game will receive some major tweaks in the near future. New enemy types, new missions, fresh electrum sources, flora and fauna (ashworms & sandworms), a proper photo mode, and more are coming to
Atlas in a completely free holiday update starting December 21, 2018.
According to Ubisoft,
Starlink is "
a top holiday gift this year," and the fact that you can buy additional toys that actually work in-game will surely boost the sandbox game's overall sales. Yes,
Starlink is a toys-to-life title (just like
Skylanders and the cancelled
Disney Infinity), that includes modular toys to customize on the fly, allowing players to adjust to any situation by changing their ship's weapons.
Be sure to take a look at the upcoming features of
Starlink: Battle for Atlas’ free update down below:
