Sega has confirmed Puyo Puyo will enter eSports for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. The game was known for its appearance in the Korean age rating system.

Puyo Puyo eSports will be launched in Japan on October 25th, only in the digital distribution of the two platforms. As the main novelty we find the license Japan eSports Pro, and the usual rules of Puyo Puyo 2 will include two rules from Puyo Puyo Fever.

It will offer online combats and offline tournaments, 24 Puyo Puyo!! Quest, Puyo Puyo Chronicle characters and other games of the saga. It will be playable at the Tokyo Game Show 2018 and the exhibition games can be followed by streaming platforms, such as YouTube.
