Nicalis announced, back in May of last year, that they were working on a spiritual successor to Capcom's
Super Puzzle Fighter series titled
Crystal Crisis— which was revealed at the perfect time, as Capcom had decided to shut down their mobile
Puzzle Fighter game.
Crystal Crisis was expected to release for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in Fall of last year, but due to some technical difficulties the game was delayed; with the new release date for the Nintendo Switch being April of 2019, and the PlayStation 4 version pushed back for a yet-to-be-determined date.
As expected, the Nintendo Switch version of
Crystal Crisis was released on the 23rd of April, and today the game has finally released for the PlayStation 4. In order to celebrate, Nicalis has released a new trailer for their crossover puzzle battle game; showing off some of the game's fast-paced tile-matching combat.
It is also worth mentioning that pre-orders for the physical release for
Crystal Crisis on the PlayStation 4 are now available at
Nicalis' official website.
