Rocket League is quite popular right now, and for very good reasons. However, despite being in the marketplace for several years, the game has yet to make it to the Chinese market, but that is about to change.
Not too long ago it was revealed that Rocket League managed to get license approval in China, which means, the game will be released there at sometime before the end of the year. The developer of the game, Psyonix, has partnered with Tencent to make the release possible.
From what we have gathered, the plan is to release Rocket League in China as a free-to-play experience on the PC platform. Since video game consoles such as the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch, aren't popular in that market, the game might only get a PC release there.
So far, Psyonix has sold 20 million copies of Rocket League worldwide, and with the impending release of the game in China, that number could very well double in size. But only time will tell if the game will find similar success in the mainland.
