Core ANTHEM Developers Are Moving On To Make New Things - Including DRAGON AGE 4

Anthem's development team is undergoing some major changes as we speak, with Executive Producer Mark Darrah, Lead Producer Michael Gamble, and Lead Director Jonathan Warner abandoning the divisive title...

There's no denying that Anthem is not what the majority of BioWare fans had expected after watching the online looter shooter's big announcement at EA PLAY 2017. While BioWare is best-known for their beautiful, rich worlds populated with colorful characters that actually have something to say and do, Anthem may feel like a shallow, rushed, and sadly repetitive project that doesn't live to its premise.

It seems that even the core development team doesn't know what to do with Anthem and its constantly delayed post-launch content, as Executive Producer Mark Darrah, Lead Producer Michael Gamble, and Lead Director Jonathan Warner have left the controversial looter shooter altogether.

While Warner will probably return to the game after dealing with a personal sabbatical, Darrah and Gamble are officially shifting the focus from Anthem to Dragon Age 4. Reportedly, the upcoming Dragon Age project, which was announced during last year' The Game Awards, will also feature some heavy online mechanics as BioWare's another attempt at making a Destiny-like video game.

Following the recent changes, Lead Producer Ben Irving and Head of Live Service Chad Robertson are now responsible for Anthem's post-launch cycle – as EA is planning to support it for at least 10 years.

In a world left unfinished by the gods, a shadowy faction threatens all of humankind. The only thing that stands between these villains and the ancient technology they covet are the Freelancers. Join up to three other players and assemble high-tech, hand-crafted, uniquely powerful exosuits. Explore vast ruins, battle deadly enemies, and claim otherworldly artifacts. With every mission, you and your Javelin exosuits grow in power. Fight the dangers of an ever-changing world. Rise united to defeat evil. Triumph as one.

Anthem is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC (via Origin) NOW!
