EA typically has a pretty robust portfolio of games to show off during their EA Play press conference, but Anthem will undoubtedly be one of the biggest. Initially slated for a 2018 release, Anthem was pushed back to early 2019, although EA refused to call it a "delay." Now due out next year, EA has plenty of time to hype the already anticipated game and that will begin at E3 with a new trailer.
The official Anthem Twitter account posted a brief 6-second teaser hyping an E3 trailer slated to premiere on June 9.
EA will host its offsite E3 2018 event June 9-11 with the press conference slated for June 9 at 2:00 p.m. ET (11:00 a.m. PT). EA promises a "detailed look at the gameplay of BioWare's upcoming Action-RPG Anthem."
More specifically, EA will showcase a new trailer for the game "that delves into the dangerous world of Anthem." The publisher promises a glimpse into the story, characters, and monsters that inhabit the universe. We'll also get to see more of the core gameplay, including flying, fighting and collecting loot. We'll also get an in-depth look at the game's combat, including the power of the Javelin exosuit. And we'll hear from BioWare developers as we get a behind the scenes look at the development of the game. EA promises even more details will be posted to the Anthem website after the show.
Anthem is due out in early 2019 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
