As part of this year’s E3, fans of the original Beyond Good and Evil were treated to a gorgeous cinematic trailer for Beyond Good and Evil 2. While this trailer certainly provided a glimpse at what kind of story we can expect to see in the game, including a dark and ominous look at Jade, it was devoid of any gameplay.
So, as expected, many anxious fans began to wonder when the developers would show some more gameplay and when players can expect to get their hands on some playable material.
Now, I doubt most people expected a playable beta or demo to be available anytime soon, but the truth will undoubtedly disappoint some, as Michel Ancel revealed over Instagram (via Eurogamer) that they are currently aiming to have “a playable beta for the end of next year.”
There are currently no details available for which platforms the planned beta will launch on, but even if its on a limited number of platforms, fans will more than likely be able to catch some gameplay footage from the beta online.
