Although
Beyond Good And Evil 2 was officially announced at the very end of Ubisoft's E3 2017 press conference and showcased once again at last year's show, the French publisher has a bad news for the fans of the Michel Ancel-created series – at the highly anticipated sequel is officially skipping E3 2019.
"
This year, as we are focusing on core development milestones, we will not be attending E3 2019.
We will, however, continue our commitment to the Space Monkey Program and keep you updated on the [...] game’s development and how we’re building the world of Beyond Good and Evil 2," Ubi said.
Yes, while
Beyond Good and Evil 2 won't be shown off during the main show in Los Angeles, Ubisoft will still host a special Space Monkey Report livestream – that will air on June 5th at 6 PM (CEST, Paris time) on Twitch, YouTube and Facebook. Unfortunately, it looks like you can forget about seeing anything substantial from the game – as Ubisoft is planning to share new footage only "
when the time is right."
As a reminder, Ubisoft's own
Skull & Bones will also skip this year's E3, suggesting that the Ubisoft Singapore-developed pirate game and
Beyond Good and Evil 2 might very well be next-gen titles.
Ubisoft's upcoming E3 2019 media briefing will be held on Monday, June 10 at 1:00 p.m. PT (10:00AM ET, 7:00AM GMT, 6:00AM on June 11 AEST), featuring brand-new trailers for
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, Rainbow Six: Siege, The Division 2, For Honor, and some big – at least two – surprises.
