Best Buy is getting an early start on Black Friday 2026, with deals on video games, gaming accessories, TVs, computers, and more arriving well before Thanksgiving.

The retailer has revealed its holiday sales calendar, beginning with its Halloween-themed DoorBOOsters event on Friday, October 30. Things really get going on November 6, when Best Buy kicks off its Early Black Friday Deals and Doorbusters, with new offers dropping every Friday.

For gamers, that means it's worth keeping an eye out for deals on PlayStation 5, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch products, as well as video games, controllers, headsets, gaming PCs, and other accessories. Best Buy hasn't revealed specific discounts just yet, but we'll get a better idea of what's on sale as the holiday season gets underway.

Black Friday might technically fall on the day after Thanksgiving, but at this point, it's become more of a monthlong shopping event. And like most major retailers, Best Buy isn't waiting until Thanksgiving weekend to start offering discounts.

The first deals arrive October 30 with DoorBOOsters, followed by Early Black Friday Deals on November 6. New Doorbusters will be added every Friday leading up to the main event.

Best Buy's official Black Friday sale runs from November 19 through November 28, giving shoppers 10 days to take advantage of the promotions. Cyber Sunday and Cyber Monday follow on November 29 and 30, respectively, with additional Cyber Week deals running December 1-6.

For anyone still shopping closer to Christmas, Best Buy also has a Last-Minute Savings event planned for December 18-24.

What Gaming Deals Can We Expect?

Best Buy hasn't announced its full lineup of Black Friday deals, so it's too early to say whether we'll see major discounts on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or Nintendo Switch 2.

Still, there should be plenty for gamers to keep an eye on. Beyond consoles and video games, Best Buy carries everything from controllers and gaming headsets to gaming laptops, desktops, keyboards, mice, and monitors.

TVs are another category worth watching, especially for anyone looking to upgrade their gaming setup. Best Buy is highlighting newer RGB LED models this holiday season, though we'll have to see which televisions actually get discounted.

If there's one reason gamers might want to pay closer attention to Black Friday this year, it's how expensive gaming hardware has become.

Sony raised the price of the standard PlayStation 5 by $100 in April, bringing it to $649.99. Microsoft followed with another round of Xbox price hikes in August, increasing the Xbox Series X by $150. Nintendo also raised the price of the Switch 2 by $50 in September, pushing it to $499.99.

A big part of the problem is the rising cost of memory and storage, driven in part by the growing demand for AI hardware. Microsoft specifically pointed to those costs when announcing its latest Xbox price increases.

PC gamers have had it particularly rough. DDR5 RAM prices have skyrocketed over the past year, making it significantly more expensive to build a new gaming PC or upgrade an existing one.

Of course, there's no guarantee Best Buy will offer major discounts on consoles or gaming PCs this Black Friday. But with hardware prices continuing to climb, even a modest discount could make a difference.

We'll have to see what Best Buy has planned when its first deals go live on October 30.
