FromSoftware has unveiled a brand-new trailer for Elden Ring: Nightreign, spotlighting the Iron Eye, a newly introduced class that thrives on deadly precision and long-range combat. Armed with a bow and honed for dexterity-based weapons, the Iron Eye brings a potent mix of utility and damage to the battlefield. The perfect class for players looking to keep their distance while supporting allies in the dangerous lands of Limveld. Check out the trailer with a small taste of gameplay down below:
Launching May 30th across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam, Elden Ring: Nightreign builds upon the dark fantasy universe of the original Elden Ring but reimagines the experience as a streamlined co-op survival action game. Instead of customizing builds from scratch, players will now select from predefined classes known as Nightfarers and level up during each run, adapting to the threats they face in real time.
The Iron Eye stands out with its mobility and precision, finally giving ranged combat the spotlight it deserves in a FromSoftware title. Players who participated in the earlier beta didn’t get a chance to try out the archer class, but the new trailer showcases exactly what makes the Iron Eye so formidable. Not only can this Nightfarer stagger bosses with well-placed back shots, but they can also execute devastating critical hits by dashing in for cinematic arrow finishers—a dream come true for anyone looking for a Legolas class to play in a Soulslike setting.
The trailer also demonstrates the tactical value of the Iron Eye’s ranged toolkit. Whether you’re softening up enemies from a distance or reviving downed teammates while staying out of melee danger, the Iron Eye’s versatility makes them an essential part of any co-op team. While the class specializes in bows and ranged ultimate abilities, players can freely equip any weapons they discover throughout their run, allowing for fluid adaptation based on the challenges ahead.
Elden Ring: Nightreign promises a fresh twist on the formula that made its predecessor a global phenomenon, with a focus on teamwork, survival, and dynamic character choices. With the Iron Eye now joining the fray, fans have yet another compelling reason to return to the Lands Between or, more accurately, into the heart of Limveld to test their skills against the horrors that await.
