Blizzard is expanding the world of Sanctuary beyond games this fall with Diablo: The Infernal Path, an official haunted attraction debuting at two Six Flags parks. The maze will open during Cedar Point’s HalloWeekends in Ohio and Kings Dominion’s Halloween Haunt in Virginia as part of their respective 2026 Halloween events.
The Infernal Path marks the first official Diablo haunted maze. Guests will move through corrupted environments filled with demonic imagery and close-quarters encounters featuring iconic figures from the series. Confirmed appearances include Diablo himself along with The Butcher, Duriel, Baal, Lilith, and Mephisto. Each park will host its own version of the attraction, so experiences may differ between the two locations.
The maze is designed to translate the dark atmosphere of the Diablo games into a physical Halloween setting. Tight corridors, atmospheric lighting, and the series’ signature horror elements are expected to create an immersive walkthrough that leans into the franchise’s long history of demons, torment, and high-stakes dread. Access will require the parks’ Haunted Attractions Pass during their seasonal Halloween events.
While the attraction itself is a secondary project compared to major game announcements, its timing places it near BlizzCon 2026, scheduled for September 12-13 in Anaheim. Blizzard typically uses the event to highlight updates across its portfolio, including Diablo. Recent speculation has pointed to possible Diablo 4 news, such as a Switch 2 version, and the Infernal Path could receive some form of acknowledgment or promotional presence as part of the broader Diablo conversation.
The collaboration between Blizzard and Six Flags represents a new way for fans to engage with the setting of Sanctuary outside of playing the games. For a franchise built on gothic horror and relentless demonic threats, a haunted maze is a natural extension, even if it remains an unexpected one. How effectively the attraction captures the tone of the series will become clear once it opens this fall.
Diablo: The Infernal Path arrives at a moment when the franchise continues to maintain a strong presence through Diablo 4 and its ongoing content. Turning that dark fantasy into a physical Halloween experience gives fans a different kind of immersion, one measured in footsteps and jump scares rather than loot drops. With BlizzCon approaching and the attraction confirmed for the Halloween season, both the games and this new real-world extension are set to keep Sanctuary in the spotlight through the rest of the year.
