CD Projekt Red Reaffirms That There Are No WITCHER 4 Plans

CD Projekt Red is nearing the finish line on Cyberpunk2077 but that doesn't mean the game studio is working on a continuation of The Witcher franchise.

Speaking at The Pareto Securities’ Gaming Seminar, CD Project Red's President and CEO Adam Kicinski stated that there's one key reason why the studio isn't currently working on The Witcher 4.

"We can’t create Witcher 4 because that was a trilogy from the beginning."

The topic came up during the seminar just as reports surfaced that CD Project Red was gearing up for another "AAA Story Driven RPG" video game as listed in a job posting.  Whatever the mystery title is, it's (sadly) not The Witcher 4.

Cyberpunk 2077 is still without a confirmed release date, however, industry analysts are speculating that the game could arrive sometime in 2019.

Though The Witcher trilogy has concluded, Netflix is currently developing a live-action adaptation that adheres more closely to the video game series than the original sci-fi fantasy novels from Polish author Andrzej Sapkowsk.
