The upcoming game Rune Factory 3 Special has announced its official release date, along with an update to the gaming systems it will be compatible with! Rune Factory 3 Special was previously announced for Nintendo Switch, and now a PC release has been confirmed! Originally released on Nintendo DS in 2009, the third entry in the series is getting ready to return in remade form and will touch down in North America on September 5!

Rune Factory 3 Special returns after more than a decade following its original release on Nintendo DS! The remastered version of the popular entry in the Rune Factory series is being developed with remastered HD graphics and redesigned 3D character models that improve upon the original designs while retaining their unique appeal. These improved visuals are bolstered by new features including Newlywed Mode, standalone adventures unlocked after marriage to each of the game's 11 eligible bachelorettes and a "Hell" difficulty level to challenge even veteran players!
Players take on the role of Micah, a young man with the power to turn into a golden sheep-like monster known as a wooly. Rescued by a young woman after falling headfirst into the provincial town of Sharance, Micah awakens with no memories of his past and soon finds himself embroiled in a longstanding conflict between humans and monsters. Micah must work to build bridges between the races to restore peace, all while uncovering a shocking secret of his own.
