Samurai Warriors 4 is a hack and slash game in the long-running Samurai Warriors series developed by Koei Tecmo. The game was originally released in 2014 for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PS Vita, and Windows.
In 2015, Koei Tecmo also released a revised version of the game in the form of Samurai Warriors 4-II and a second version of this revision in the form of Samurai Warriors 4: Empires the very same year.
Now, we have new information that will make fans of the series ecstatic, as Samurai Warriors 4 DX has been announced for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, and the game will be releasing in Japan next year.
Samurai Warriors 4 DX is what Koei Tecmo deems as the complete edition of Samurai Warriors 4, which will be including all of the previously released donwloadable content. Koei Tecmo also announces a Samurai Warriors 4 DX 15th Anniversary Box, which will include the physical copy of the game, a 64-page art boo, the game's soundtrack and music video set, and a 144-card postcard set with illustrations from Treasure Box editions of previous entries in the series.
As of yet, Koei Tecmo has not announced if Samurai Warriors 4 DX will be releasing outside of Japan but even Samurai Warriors 4: Empires was released in Western countries so it is safe to assume that this will also be the case.
