Isometric role-playing game developed by Games Farm and published by Kalypso Media Digital, Shadows: Awakening, is coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows. The game was released today for the Xbox One and PC, but the PlayStation 4 version will take a bit longer and will become available on the 4th of September.

Shadows: Awakening is described as an isometric single-player RPG in which you take control of the Devourer, who consumes the of past heroes in order to progress through the story. Players who have played previous entries in the series like Shadows: Heretic Kingdom, or even Vikings: Wolves of Midgard(developed by the same studio) will feel right at home, gameplay-wise.

The game features a rather interesting party system that takes advantage of the soul devouring concept Shadows: Awakening introduces, by having every single member within the one demon, making for interesting dialogue between them.

Shadows: Awakening also promises over 20 hours of gameplay in a single playthrough, claiming that 60+ hours are required to get the full experience. As if that wasn't enough, the game features fully voiced dialogue, which even includes legendary British actor Tom Baker; The Fourth Doctor Who.

Take a look:

Do you have the focus and wits to master the world of the Heretic Kingdoms? Gather your party, control powerful heroes and use their skills to your advantage. But who is in charge… the demon, or the souls that it has devoured? It's up to you to either thwart a major threat and save the world, or to plunge it into complete disaster…

Shadows: Awakening is currently available for Xbox One and PC, and will be available for the PlayStation 4 on the 4th of September.
