Shenmue III has been in development for quite a few years now, and Deep Silver — the game's current publisher — had announced that the game would finally release on the 27th of August. Sadly, the long-awaited title will not be launching in August as expected, Deep Silver more recently announced.
Deep Silver and developer YS Net have recently shared that
Shenmue III's release date has been pushed back, yet again, to see a
19th of November release. Accordig to the statement, the game is almost ready but they need some more time to polish some details ahead of its release.
While this is disappointing news for fans of the
Shenmue series, who have been waiting for a new entry for over 15 years, the developers are working hard to deliver a product that will not disappoint their loyal fanbase. Delays are never a bad thing and, after almost a 20-year-wait, fans definitely understand the reasoning behind pushing
Shenmue III back just for a few more months.
Shenmue III sees the continuation of the epic story-driven saga. The player controls teenage martial artist Ryo Hazuki as he investigates his father's murder.
Shenmue III will be available for the PlayStation 4 and PC on the 19th of November.
