This week saw the arrival of the classic multiplayer map Grind in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. First introduced in Black Ops 2, Grind centers around the iconic skatepark which in Black Ops 6 is apparently being used to tease some sort of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater announcement.

Following the maps debut, it didn't take long for players to notice the in-game teaser, which prominently displays the date "03.04.25" along with the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater video game series logo. This seemingly confirms some sort of announcement will happen on March 4th.

Adding to the intrigue, Tony Hawk himself even responded to CharlieIntel's post with the eyes emoji. The official Xbox account also responded with the eyes emoji.

The teaser come just a few days after pro skater Tyshawn Jones claimed that he was in an upcoming Tony Hawk's Pro Skater game, even though Activision has not yet announced a new one.

There's speculation that this won't be a new game in the series, but rather a remaster of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4. Activision reportedly rejected this after the launch of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 back in 2020, but plans may have changed following Microsoft's acquisition of the publisher.

There have also been reports that Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 will launch this June during Mirosoft's currently unannounced Xbox Summer Showcase. It's claimed that the game will be shadow-dropped on Xbox Series X|S (including Game Pass), as well as PC and PlayStation 5. Yes, despite being owned by Xbox now, Microsoft will likely release this on competitor platforms.

Assuming all of this to be true, it's unclear what exactly March's event will be. Will it simply be a teaser for Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 Remaster? Will it be a full-fledged announcement and possible release? Thankfully, we only have to wait a few weeks until we find out.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 was released in 2020 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, and was later released on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S as well as the Nintendo Switch. It's a remake of the first two games in the beloved skateboarding series: 1999's Tony Hawk's Pro Skater and 2000's Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2. Easily the most iconic games in the series, the remake was met with positive reviews from critics and fans alike. Improved graphics, a diverse roster, a nostalgic soundtrack, and improved gameplay helped make it the fastest-selling game in the franchise.
